The
clients built and sold a house on the lake which had developed fairly
high maintenance problems. They desired to steer clear of these problems
in their new house. The exterior of the house is uncleaned brick with
a sprinkling of stone placed in a random pattern. The house has exposed
rafter ends and decking with a 2 foot overhang and no gutters. Columns
on the two porches whcih overlook the lake are locally built of cedar
lumber and stained. The pool is an oval deck set at a 45 degree angle
with the house as is one of the two porches. The pool is lowered so
as not to block the view of the lake from the house.
